Defeating Teyioh
When Teyioh appears on the screen that shows your opponents, press Start. When the starting line appears press Select and hold Circle until your Chocobo has about one tenth of its stamina remaining. Hold down L1 + R1 + L2 + R2 and restore its energy. When it gets back to two tenths or more, then lower it back to one tenth. Note: Do not use stamina at the ending space background unless your Chocobo is green or better.
Defeating Ruby WeaponDefeating this weapon is EXTREMELY hard,I think hes harder then emerald cuz i beat emerald first, to beat him, kill two of ur characters, because at battle, he using an attack that swipes your character out of the battle, so have them dead,and make sure the one whos alive has life 2,or pheonix to revive them, none of ur attacks hurt him, so u have materia to use, KoR (Knights of Round) works well,hope this worked.

Submitted By: scottEasy Battle Square handicapsRapidly tap Square during the "slot machine" handicap sequence in the Battle Square section at Gold Saucer. The slots will slow down, allowing an easier selection of your handicap. Note: This trick will also work in a similar manner with Cait Sith's limit break.
Avoid back attackWhen surprised with a back attack, try running away to automatically turn around (hold L1 + R1). This allows your party to take less damage, however the enemy will get the first strike.
Getting enemy skill: micro missilesWhen your in the desert prison and you have 2 set of 2 find DYNE u should enter a junk yard at 1 point fight the monsters and the 1's on a wee ball will use micro missiles those who have enamy skill equipt and were hurt will have learned it.
Submitted By: doily kidLimited ImmortalityConnect the Phoenix Summon and Final Attack materia in any linked slot. When your party dies, their Hitpoints will be completely restored. This makes killing Ruby, Emerald, and Sephiroth simple, just make sure you have enough Mindpoints to use the Phoenix Summon.
For more punch, add a Final Attack/Knight of the Round Table to the same weapon. Then when you die you'll resurrect and hit back HARD. NOTE: This method is limited because you can only use Phoenix materia 5 times.
When you get into any battle, rapidly press Circle. However, if this slows the time bar down, rapidly press Triangle. If Triangle slows you down when it was speeding up, then rapidly press Circle again. Keep switching if you have to.
When you are fighting one of the more difficult battles and run low health or need to attack quicker, open the PlayStation's lid and let the game idle for awhile. While it is searching for the game disc, your time gauge will still be recharging.
The code to get the Huge Materia from Cid's rocket is Circle, Square X, X. Note: If you do not get the code, restart and retry from a saved game.
Maneuvering the HighwindThe Highwind can be turned sideways or flown backwards without turning around. Hold Square and press the D-pad in the desired direction while flying.
Instead of pressing Square + D-pad to fly the Highwind, press Circle to go forward. Press R1 or L1 to turn sharper.
To fly crooked, hold R1 + Left or L1 + Right while moving at full speed forward.
Instead of going through all of the digging to find the "Key to Sector 5" on the top level of the Bone Village, go to the village in Disc 3. There should be an X on the ground in front of the ladder to the second level. Talk to the man and dig for normal treasure in the exact center of the X three times. The first time you should get Cid's mop, the second time you should get W-Summon, and the third time you should get the Key to Sector 5.
Presidential send-off tricksAfter doing the Presidential Send-Off event and receiving your prize from Hedigger, press Square, Circle, X, or Triangle to make Cloud do things such as place his hands on his hips, shrug, and scratch his back with the gun.
View Cloud's Omnislash from behindWhen you get Omnislash, use it. Immediately after you select your enemies, open the lid on the PlayStation. The game will go through all of the camera movements of the Omnislash, but Cloud will not use the technique. When the camera stops the second time, close the lid. About 15 seconds after you close the door, Cloud will use Omnislash. Note: Sometimes the camera will go in front. Make sure you have either Cloud or Red XIII in the middle or you may not see Cloud.
Bahamnant ZERO Summon Materia detailsWalk around after boarding the Shinra No. 26 spaceship on disc two. Your party will be able to go down to the space pod or up the ladder to the right to the huge materia. Go to the huge materia and use the talk button at the tall glass to speak with Cid. He will explain the controls in this part of the game. Talk again at the case and enter the password Circle, Square, X, X to collect the Key Item "Huge Materia". After travelling to Cosmo Canyon later in the game, talk to Bugenhagen. He will take your party up to his observatory. Approach to the Blue huge materia and get closer. Your party will receive the Bahamnant ZERO summon materia.
Sense without wasting a turnPress Select to display a window above the time bars, then sense the enemy. From this point on whenever you attack that enemy while selecting, look in that window to see its current HP and name. Note: This only works during the current battle.

Go to Cactuar Island (an island in the far north east) and morph three Cactuars into Tetra Elementals. Go to the area around Mideel and "park" your Gold Chocobo or the Highwind on the small sliver of grass below the drop after you pass Mideel going west (not near the forest, but on the area below that.) Walk towards the long beach area far away from your transportation-- if you accidentally get off track, you could get on your airship or Chocobo and drift off. Equip a Mastered Enemy Lure and weapons that can receive the most AP (not your ultimate weapons). The Scimitar, Apocalypse, Platinum Fist, etc. should be your priorities. Equip the Materia you want to get a lot of AP on the weapons. These may include Knights Of The Round, Double Cut, and Bahamut Zero. Cloud, Cid, and Tifa work the best if they are at high levels because they all get triple AP with certain weapons. Equip Cloud with the Apocalypse, Mystile, and Tetra elemental; Cid (if used) with the Scimitar, anything else, and Tetra elemental; Tifa (if used) with Platinum Fist, anything else, and Tetra elemental. Set turbo on Circle and keep it held (a rubber band is suggested). Additionally, hold Down (also with a rubber band) If correctly, you will be going left and right continuously and encountering an enemy called the Sandworm. The maximum damage it can do is 50 to 70 because you absorb the Sandstorm and Earthquake attacks (due to the Tetra elementals). Each defeated Sandworm results in 1300 EXP, 200 AP, and 5000 Gil. With luck, all materia will be mastered and you will have millions of Gil after a few hours.
Cosmo Canyon songYou can play the Cosmo Canyon song on your own by going to Tifa's house in Nibelheim. Then, press Square, Square, Square, X, Square, Circle, Circle, R1 + X, Circle, R1 + Square, R1 + Square, R1 + Square, R1 + X, Circle, R1 + X, R1 + Square, R1 + X, Circle, R1 + X, R1 + Square, Circle, Square, X, Circle, Square, X, Square. Note: This serves no purpose in the game.
Extra experience (Japanese version)When in the Gold Saucer prison, enter the well just outside of the town. Walk around until encountering a monster named "Test 0" which resembles a dog. You can poison or attack it. Instead of fighting back, it will whimper and ask that it not be hurt.
Recruit VincentIn the Shinra mansion at Nibbhiem, there is a safe on the top floor. The combination is: Right to 36, Left to 10, Right to 59 then Right to 97. Make sure you don't go to far left or to far right when turning. When it opens kill the monster, then get the stuff in the safe. Descent the spiral staircase and into the coffin room. Vincent is in one of the coffins. Talk to him and leave then come back and talk to him and he will join you.
Chocobo TricksWhile racing the chocobos, hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 to increase your speed. To increase their stamina, hold R1 + R2.
While choosing a chocobo to race, press L1, L2, R1, R2 or any direction to pan, zoom and rotate the chocobo you're viewing.
This cheat can only be done in the third disc. First, go to the Northern cave and look for mole like creatures with a star above thier heads, also holding a knife and a lantern. Steal an elixir from them and then run away. After that, look for these small creatures in a floating pot. They will say "Gimme' an elixer". Give them one. Then kill it. Each one killed will give you 1,000 AP. You can not kill them unless you give them an elixer.
Unlimited SourcesTo get unlimited Sources (luck source, magic source, etc.) perform the following actions. Get in the submarine and go to the downed plane. Wander around until you get into a battle and use the morph command on the enemies. The best way to do this is attack the enemies until they are almost dead and then use morph. In this area there are six different enemies and each one morphs into one of the six sources.
Time Attack ContestAt the golden saucers wonder square there is a snowboard game. If you get a good rating on the beginner, expert and crazy course the next time you play there you will see a yellow balloon. Grab it and you will enter time attack mode. In this mode there are no balloons or obstacles and you go extremely fast.
Item DuplicationIf you have the W-Item Materia, equip it and enter battle. Use the W-Item command and select your first item you want to use with the Circle button. Then choose your second item but do not use it. Select it so that cursors appear on the screen (either on you allies or your enemies) then cancel with the X button. Select again and make the cursor appear then cancel. Repeat the selecting and canceling of the second item over and over. Each time you do this the quantity of the first item will increase by 1.
Special BattleTo get to the URA battle (special battle) in the Battle Arena, first gain 64000 battle points and buy the W-Summon materia. Next get 32,000 battle points and buy Cloud's level 4 limit, Omnislash. Equip Omnislash and talk to the lady at the counter in the battle arena, and she will ask you if you want to participate in a special battle. Beat all 8 enemies and get the Final attack materia.
weapons knowlegeAnyone whose played through the game will know about at least two of the Weapon monsters, but there are a couple you migh not know about:
Ultimate Weapon
This is the guy you first face in Midlee, but after you have deafeated Diamond Weapon he will appear in a hole near Midgar .(you cant miss it) Fly the Highwind into him to fight.(I find Bahamut Zero works well but if you have something like Knights of Round, even better) After the fight he will fly off. follow him and bash into him a few times (you will bounce off because of an energy feild) and he will eventually fight you.(He did this at Fort Condor, but you might be able to fight elsewhere)He will dissapear after this but search the map for him.
Diamond Weapon
Nothing too detailed about him but there is something you should know. he rises from the water somwhere around the northern island and heads towards Midgar. you have to land the Highwind and wait for him on shore. Take this time to prepare. Hes strong, so save the game beforhand.
Ruby Weapon
i havent actually faced him yet, but i know you have to fight Ultimate Weapon three times (not including Midlee) to face him. The observant player may have noticed a strange mountain like structure near Cosmo Canyon, that seens in accesable. I've been told the canyon sinks down after deafeating Ultimate Weapon, allowing you to face him.(I dont know if a Mountain Chocobo could reach it)
Emerald Weapon
The strongest of the four, this fiend lurks under the sea near Junion. He could kill your whole party in a single shot unless your super strong. Fight him at your if you dare!
I dont know if defeating them all has any special effect on the game (it probably does) but it will provide a challenging task for the daring and adventurous player.
Use the item duplication cheat on an elixer untill you have at least 99x of them.Now go to the Northern Cave,were you split up with the others go to the first door.then when your in that room,go to the second where you find Magic Pots.Give them Elixers to make them vulnerble to you then kill them.You will get about 100 exp. for each you fight.
Submitted By: Bloody_CloudProbaly best place for level 20 - 30When u gota go temple of the aincients before you get to the room with the paintings on the wall, save your game and refresh your hp and mp (by the little blue guy), then go back to the forst part of the temple and train and train untill your mp gets low so cant xast cure or cure 2 anymore, go back to the little blue guy again and save and rest so repeet for exellent traning xp!
(another good place for xp is the cave of the gi, a fight with 5 snake things and you've got over 1000xp!!!)
To go faster on a snowboard, well u probably already know, but u hold in R1 and hold foward this way u will go way faster also if ur still holdin down R1 and have 2 turn keep R1 held in and then press the direction button ur goin in and then u do a power slide type thing and it's easier 2 turn this way(well easier).
